The Tunisian FA has reportedly fired manager Sabri Lamouchi after just one game at the ongoing 2026 World Cup.

The 54-year-old’s future was thrown into doubt after a disastrous opening-match defeat to Sweden in Monterrey.
According to New York Times reporter Romain Molina, Lamouchi was dismissed after the Tunisian FA, the FTF, called an emergency meeting shortly after the 5-1 defeat to Sweden.
Journalist Romain Molina reports: “It’s the end for Sabri Lamouchi at the helm of the Tunisian national team.”
Reports claim the Tunisian Football Federation held an emergency meeting in the aftermath of the crushing defeat before deciding to make a change.
Tunisia’s next game at the FIFA World Cup comes on Saturday, June 20th, against Japan.
Sabri Lamouchi, 54, was appointed by the FTF after Sami Trabelsi’s dismissal following the round-of-16 exit from the Africa Cup of Nations.
But his spell has reportedly come to an end after just five matches in charge.
The former Nottingham Forest boss began his reign with a victory over Haiti.
However, Tunisia struggled for goals afterwards and failed to win against Canada, Austria, Belgium and Sweden.
